Committee of Bar Examiners

The Committee of Bar Examiners essential functions is to ensure that each applicant for admission to the practice of law in the Virgin Islands possesses the requisite character, fitness, and moral qualifications for admission. The Committee consists of at least five (5) members of the Virgin Islands Bar who are appointed by the Chief Justice and in good standing. Committee members serve for varied terms.

The Committee of Bar Examiners are also responsible for grading the Multistate Essay Examination (MEE) and the Multistate Performance Test (MPT) answers for applicants sitting the Uniform Bar Examination and in addition to systemically reviewing and producing the content for the Virgin Islands Law Component.
